This market bag is my original design, and was a popular item when I was
selling them at the farmer's market. The sides are dropped so that your
leafy veggies and flowers won't become crunched in your standard tote
bag. The handles are cotton cotton webbing. This project will be sewn on
your sewing machine. If you do not have a sewing machine, we can
arrange for you to use one of ours.
Skills The majority of this project is sewn on a sewing machine in class. If you do not have one of your own to bring, please let me know ahead of time. If you're out of practice with your machine, consider our Get to Know Your Sewing Machinne workshop. |
Materials to bring with you:
• Bring your own sewing machine if possible • Pack of Universal sewing machine needles • Your own pair of sharp fabric scissors All other materials will be provided, however if you want to bring your own fabric, I recommend outdoor upholstery fabrics. Joann Fabrics often has sales on home decor fabrics, so keep your eye on their sales. *If you don't have a sewing machine, but still want to take this workshop, we may have an extra machine available for you. Get in touch to confirm. Can kids join? Kids age 8-and up who have experience sewing on a machine and hand stitching are welcome.
